Lots of fun!

Its my favorite fighter game so far. Excellent shoot weapons & I love that u can continue after being killed - also great that u can come back to continue at the new level when u run out of continue chances. I sure hope theres lotsa levels (not sure how many yet) - at least create additional levels in separate apps- I sure would buy if under a buck each set of new levels - just make the bosses easier to fight off - Im at easy level yet have to waste 3 ti 4 lives just to kill it!! It just takes too long. If youre gonna make it difficult add new tactics for us to fight it off, dont just extend the boss durability for so long. Ok thanx for the great game overall ;)

Freaken fantastic game Ive logged atleast 4 day just playing this game. Please make a second with more types of ships and your choice of heat seeking rockets or straight shot.

This is by far one of the greatest shmups for iOS. Since the initial release, the developers have ironed out every issue that players have presented, and Lightning Fighter has blossomed into one excellent shoot-em-up.

Excellent game and a true bargain for the price. The game is pretty tough even at the easy level, but not so tough that one wont be able to finish it. If youre a fan of the old school shootem ups such as R-type or gradius, THEN GET THIS GAME! Happy shooting.

This game reminds of the old hardcore shooters. Ive yet to beat the game but I died on the final level on normal difficulty. The weapons in the game are all pretty balanced but it feels that they should be tweaked in terms of damage. My favorite is the lock on laser missiles which brings back so many good memories of Raystorm. There are almost zero slowdown issues except for the space one and the only issue i have on my gen2 itouch is the temporary lockup whenever a boss is loading but the game doesnt crash. Any fan of r-type, raiden or rayforce will love this game well worth the money!

The iPhone 4 seems to attract theses kinds of scrollers and not without good reason. In this case, though, we are treated to a simple but engaging game that doesnt ask much and offers s solid game-play experience. Dont expect the revolution in iOS gaming--that isnt here. But expect fun, fury and endless waves of pretty cannon fodder.

Great title! Worth the few $

The other reviews said it better than I ever could so Ill just reiterate what has been said : great, polished, balanced old-school shmup with none of that silly "bullet hell" stuff. This ones a safe bet if youre a fan of the genre.

Good game!! Highly recommended! One word about the new planes. Thunderbolt seems to be under powered. Especially the pink power up weapon.

I tried this game out and liked it so much that I bought it myself! I really like the different ships, though I am hoping for more ships and weapons to come. Some different power-ups would be nice as the game progresses. I like that you can control the electric ray beam weapon separately with the tilt control. :) Please make more ships soon so I can buy them.
